Shield Wolf

BRADY RANDALL

Brady doesn't mean anything special, but Randall does. It means, "Shield Wolf." Sounds fierce. It's also my Dad's name and that makes it most special! Ryan picked Brady and it's growing on me. We're so excited to have a little boy coming! We were set on waiting but Brady jumped on into the sonogram shot at just the right time and was too quick for our doctor to get out of the way. We were totally shocked and completely happy. Now we get to do some gender specific shopping!
Here's a few pictures from the last few days that I love.
A little pre-sonogram breakfast burrito. It was bound to be a good morning!
Doc didn't really get very many good shots of the little flasher, but you can see him sucking his thumb here...
Halloween party with our friends. It was tons of fun!

Mezzo

It may be overkill posting weekly as I have been. I just didn't do it with the first two kids, and I regret it.
I picked  the title Mezzo for this week. It's alot prettier than saying, "WE'RE HALFWAY THERE!" 20 weeks!  Time, it is a flyin'! Mom comes to town on Thursday morning to spend 2 days with us. She'll keep Logan and have lunch with Leah, while Ryan and I go to the doctor for our big sonogram. Normally, we'd be finding out what we're having but this time around, we're resisting the temptation. We're very, very, very tempted to find out, but know that the moment of surprise in the delivery room will be so special if we wait. Now if only our doctor can not slip up on Thursday!
Just for my memory's sake, i'm still not craving anything. When I need a snack, I grab a string cheese and a root beer...I just don't find myself hungry this time around. I imagine it's coming, but it still hasn't hit me yet. My back is starting to get achy, the warm baths are helping me, and I do feel my toes start to tingle like they're swelling if i'm on them too long. I'm sleeping well and this babe is CONSTANTLY on the move! I actually felt three jabs at the same time a few days ago. Logan wasn't as active before he was born and he's nonstop now. Should I be worried?!
 20 weeks!!

Leah's had a good week so far. Her teacher is officially out on maternity leave and she has a substitute in place. She's doing great with the change. She even compared her sub to GG! Monday was a big day...she came to the car with a bloody tooth dangling by a thread. By the time we got home...I just love this sweet little Boo-ba-loo!
Logan's doing well too. He entertains Truitt so well, he's so helpful! He's still coughing 2 weeks later, so I have a feeling we'll be visiting the doctor again soon to figure out why the antibiotic and breathing treatments haven't worked for him.
I had a 48 hour bug this weekend and caused the family to miss the pumpkin patch and pumpkin carving we had planned. I believe our weekend is now planned for us! We also plan to move some furniature around in our master bedroom to make room for a baby bed and other cutie stuff we're starting to gather.
 Phew. I'm tired. Goodnight.

Who Doesn't Like Fall?

Sneak peaks of costumes...

What is she? What is he?

Who doesn't like some slime?

19 weeks and counting! I've said it before and i'll say it again. This is a strong baby. I can already feel it moving when I put my hand on my belly! (And for the record, the water spots on my mirror are bugging me but I already ate supper so I don't want to have a picture of my belly at 7 pm, full of pizza.)

Because those of you that read this blog have been praying for Kreed, here's a picture his mommy posted on her facebook page. He's stable now, waiting for an MRI of his shoulder, but still has 2 infected lungs and some other kind of infection in his bones/blood. Thank you for for continued prayers!
Update: As of Tuesday night, the infection in Kreed's blood is GONE! Praise God! The doctors still have him sedated. Tomorrow morning, the plan is to remove his breathing tube and stop the sedation medicine so he will wake up. They want to see if his lungs are strong enough to breathe on their own. Jamie and Robbie are doing well, have a super support system and have been in touch as of today with me. God, as He promised, is sustaining them.  Thank you for your continued prayers for our friends. This is my friend, Jamie, so you have another face to go with the names in your prayers.

Is It Fall?!

We've enjoyed the blessing of cold weather the last few days! We're milking every minute while we have it.

Truitt even got in on the action! I've got him full time for the next 6 weeks.
Love that the kids are old enough to go on a real bike ride! Thankful for the paths in our backyard and through our community.
Homemade potpie in Grammie's blue pie pan. MMM.

A fire with my loves. This was after a day with the windows open, a nap, a trip to Bass Pro Shops and fudge. Sigh.
I should have a picture of this weeks veggie that shows the size of the baby. Didn't get around to getting my bell pepper this week. I did, however, get around to finding some of these guys. Yup. More nachos.

We've established that Raz likes music! Dance and grow, baby. Dance and grow.

Just For The Record

Just for my records...my first real belly shot. 17 1/2 weeks and growing! I've felt the baby move since week 15, it's a busy one! Another fun note is that most nights, the baby likes the left side of my lower belly. I can actually FEEL from the outside with my hand, either a head or a back...it's nuts! I'm so enjoying this pregnancy. Thankful for this chance to do it again and love it.

Surprise

My mom and Dad and Grandma surprised the kids this weekend by meeting us for lunch! Didn't get a good shot of the kids' reaction, but they were very happy.
 Loag sure loves his Papa!

They called it a, "Party Platter", but...come on!

I've been surpirsed by a few things this 17th week of pregnancy. Yesterday, Logan and I heard the heartbeat again and that never fails to surprise me. It's truly a miracle. 152 beats per minute and growing right as it should be! I believe the books when they say the baby has doubled in size! These pictures surprised me...
The baby is a little over 5 inches this week! And I thought this angle was a little more fun for a change.
I'm surprised by, "pregnancy brain" this time around. Last night, I tried to open the pot instead of the can of beans...
 Have a happy week!
